QSM Consensus Paper Published as May's Editor's Pick

April 22, 2024

We are pleased to announce the publication of the 2024 QSM consensus paper, "Recommended implementation of quantitative susceptibility mapping for clinical research in the brain: A consensus of the ISMRM electro-magnetic tissue properties study group," an outcome of the dedicated efforts by a consensus working group panel led by Dr. Schweser and Dr. Wang from Weill Cornell Medical College. This initiative, under the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine's Electro-Magnetic Tissue Properties Study Group, sets forth  guidelines for the application of QSM in clinical brain research. It addresses the need for standardized procedures to ensure the reliability and consistency of quantitative tissue magnetic susceptibility mapping. By offering detailed recommendations for data acquisition, processing, analysis, and reporting, the paper aims to foster uniformity and enhance the quality of QSM research across the globe.

The paper has been highlighted as May's Editor's Pick due to its particular interest to readers of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine.
